Maple-Glazed Fall Ribs Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 racks of pork ribs
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the glaze:
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions:
- Prep the ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Rub the ribs with minced garlic, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Let them sit for 30 minutes.
- Slow-cook: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the ribs on a baking sheet and drizzle with apple cider vinegar. Cover with foil and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
- Make the glaze: While the ribs cook, combine the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and cloves in a small saucepan. Simmer on low heat until slightly thickened.
- Glaze and finish: Remove ribs from the oven and brush generously with the glaze. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C), return the ribs, and cook uncovered for 10-15 minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize.
Serve these sweet ribs alongside your favourite fall sides, and watch them disappear from the table!
