Steakhouse dinner for Father’s Day!

Recreate the steakhouse experience at home with grilled and pan-seared meats, and plenty of sides.

We all know that nothing says, “Thanks, Dad,” like a good meal! And since Father’s Day coincides with the arrival of Summer, the best meal we can prepare for Dad is a summer cookout! So, here are a few suggestions:

Brown Butter-Basted Steak – the secret to almost every steakhouse dinner is the browned, nutty butter flavour they have.

Rib-Eye Steak and Smashed potatoes – Pan-seared rib-eye steak. Use the flavourful beef fat left in the skillet to sear smashed potatoes to a crispy perfection.

Steak au poivre – This French-inspired steak dish relies on green peppercorns and a flambéed splash of Cognac to make a special sauce that will make dad smile.

Grilled Steak & Balsamic Onions – an Italian-inspired steak on the grill. Serve with salad, melty cheesy garlic bread, and balsamic onions.

Southwestern-style cowboy steak – prepared with a thick chipotle paste and marinated for several hours in the fridge before they’re seared and cooked quickly on the grill.
