Comfort Food Season

As the temperature drops, there’s nothing better than a warm, hearty meal to bring comfort to the table. Winter calls for slow-cooked stews, rich casseroles, and flavourful soups—dishes that warm both the body and soul. And the key to making them truly special? Starting with premium meat cuts.

We offer high-quality beef, pork, and poultry that add depth and richness to your favourite comfort foods. One classic dish that’s perfect for this season is Cozido à Portuguesa—a traditional Portuguese stew packed with meats, vegetables, and bold flavours.

Cozido à Portuguesa Recipe (one of many)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef chuck, cut into chunks
  • 1 lb pork shoulder, cut into chunks

  • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 1 turnip, peeled and chopped
  • 1 onion, peeled and halved
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, cover the beef, pork, chouriço, and morcela with water. Add onion and garlic, then bring to a boil. Simmer for about an hour.
  2. Add potatoes, carrots, and turnips. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Add cabbage last, letting it soften for about 10 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot with crusty bread.

Let winter be the season of hearty meals, made better with quality cuts.
